Based on the River Witham in the thriving town of Boston, Lincolnshire, Boston Rowing Club caters for the aspirations of the whole community. With the aim of getting more people into the enjoyable sport of rowing, Boston is one of largest and fastest growing clubs in the East Midlands.
The club welcomes all rowers whether they consider themselves as purely recreational rowers to the highly competitive. If you just want to have a go, the club runs 'learn to row' courses for adults and juniors and it’s not just on the water. We have indoor rowing machines and gym equipment as well.
Boston’s excellent stretch of water and land based facilities means it is a saught-after venue for rowing events. Key events include the 'Boston Rowing Marathon', a 31 mile race from Lincoln to Boston, which takes place on the third Sunday in September each year, and the Boston 'Head of the River' race kicks the season of in January.
Since 1999 the club has been the venue of the GB Squads winter time trials and also host the British Universities & College Sports Small Boats Head.
