Wondering about social media? Which platforms are best for your business, what to say, and making sure you aren’t wasting your time…
Everyone says “get on social media” and for those who aren’t already, or who only use one platform, this can feel quite daunting – what platforms? How will you do it all? How will you find the time!?
Well, for a change, this session isn’t about “how to use XYZ platform” (there are plenty of those already available), instead, this session is about asking WHY? Why should you use one particular social platform vs. another.
We reflect on Clare’s “10-steps to retail success”, considering your ideal customer (step 3) and your customer engagement plans (step 7), so that you can put yourself in your customers shoes and envisage which social media platforms do they typically “frequent” (you could of course ask them as well!)
In addition to where you should be present in the social-sphere, we will consider the following questions:
– What does your ideal customer want to read / see from you? What piques their interest?
– How often should you post?
– How can you measure success? Engagement, clicks, likes?
This session aims to help you plan your social engagement approach, and do it in a way that ensures it drives value and doesn’t waste your time.
