Discover the story of The Beonna, past, present and future

Discover this Grade I listed medieval church, with heritage gems including a rare angel roof. Listen to our talk on the rise and fall of the church, and its resurrection as a community and events centre, and enjoy a heritage walk around the Fenland village of Benington. Photos of the conservation and renovation work, and copies of historic parish records will also be available to view.

Refreshments available.

The Beonna at All Saints is a new events venue and community hub being created at the Grade I listed medieval church of All Saints Benington (which dates from 1100). The church was officially declared ‘closed’ in 2003 and, without a future, was eventually boarded up. With the help of funders including the National Lottery Heritage the building is now being brought back to life.

Saturday 14 September: 11am-4pm

Talk/guided tour at 11.30am and 1pm

Heritage walk at 2pm
