About

Known as The Grandest House in Boston Fydell House is a picture-perfect 18th Century Queen Anne house with Georgian alterations nestled in the heart of the Cultural Quarter.

This Grade One listed building was built for Lennox Jackson and owned by the Fydell family until being bought by Boston Preservation Trust in the early 1930s.

Residents of Boston Massachusetts supported the purchase of the house through donations and an American Room pays homage to this support.

The House hosts regular weddings and events which showcase many of its beautiful architectural features including the Rococco work on the magnificent staircase. Regular art exhibitions are on display and every Wednesday the Garden Room is turned into a tearoom which serves tasty homemade refreshments. The beautiful garden is the place to be in warm summer weather - a calm oasis in a busy town.

Guided tours of the house are free.
